Permaculture encourages us to rethink how we live and work, and helps us to reconnect with the earth and with our community. Permaculture is a process of design and innovation based upon a set of ecological design principles and ethics (earth care, people care, fair share). Depending on location, context and climate, its application can vary widely.
Permaculture encourages us to design with nature – to differently design our settlements, homes, food systems, economic systems, education systems, organisations, community processes – to create a culture of sustainability which supports our wellbeing, community wellbeing and the wellbeing of the earth’s systems.
Using permaculture principles and ethics, we can help you create a sustainable design for your backyard garden or rural property. We can advise on ways to integrate sustainability solutions throughout your home and garden. If you can, talk to us before you begin your new building project, but we can also help with retrofits.
walk and talk
One of our most popular design services in this region is our ‘walk and talk’ consultancy. For 90 mins we walk the property together with you, assessing the potential of your site, providing design ideas and/or feedback on your plans.
Fee for properties in Brisbane or the Maleny region: $150. Please contact us for prices in other areas.
community design workshops
We help communities to design edible landscapes through an exciting, fun and collaborative process. We can help community gardens, city farms, school gardens, university gardens, hospital gardens, office gardens, neighbourhood gardens, and more. Please contact us to discuss how we can support your community design project.
